Job Overview
 
Our client is seeking a Legal Assistant with Personal Injury or Civil Litigation experience to join their team.
As a Legal Assistant, you will provide crucial support to an experienced partner and play an essential role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of daily activities.
 
Compensation and Benefits:
 

• Salary: $55,000-$65,000 per year, based on experience and performance
• Health insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
• Retirement plan with a company match of up to 3% of your salary
• 15 paid days off each year for vacation or personal time
• 9+ paid holidays, plus extra time off at the partners’ discretion
• Bonuses may be given during the year, including a possible holiday bonus

 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Support attorneys specializing in Personal Injury or Civil Litigation
• Assist in trial preparation.
• Manage attorneys’ schedules and prepare them for meetings and court appearances.
• Take initiative to anticipate attorneys’ needs and streamline workflows.
• Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other third parties.
• Review, organize, and analyze case materials.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery documents, and other legal forms.
• Conduct legal research and provide other support duties as required.

 
Qualifications:
 

• Minimum of 5 years of proven working experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or in Personal Injury/Civil Litigation support
• Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols under State and Federal court systems
• Excellent writing and typing skills
• Ability to draft basic legal forms/documents
• Proficient in calendaring/docketing
• Comfortable communicating with clients
