Responsibilities:
- Perform examinations, diagnostics, and treatment for small animal patients
- Manage routine surgical and dental procedures
- Educate clients on care plans, preventive medicine, and treatment options
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented clinic environment
- Collaborate with and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants
- Contribute to medical protocols and standards of care
- Maintain accurate medical records within the practice’s EHR system
What We’re Looking For
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited institution
- Eligible for veterinary licensure in Virginia
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate approach to patient and client care
- Ability to collaborate in a supportive clinical environment
Preferred Skills
- Two or more years of experience preferred (new grads welcome with mentorship)
- Proficiency in routine surgery and dentistry
- Experience with ultrasound is a plus
- Interest in emergency medicine, acupuncture, or rehabilitation is a plus
- Desire to continue growing clinically and contribute to a team-first culture
